Antifa’s Disrupts UC Davis Event While Police Stand By and Do Nothing – HotAir

Turning Point USA was holding an event on the campus of UC Davis featuring a black conservative named Brandon Tatum. Just prior to the event, the group set up a pop-up tent and a table outside to promote the event. But a group of Antifa goons dressed in black block marched in and tore down the tent and ran off with it. There were campus police standing there watching but they did next to nothing.

Turning Point USA at UC Davis, a registered student organization, was hosting a “Prove me Wrong” event with Brandon Tatum, a guest speaker, when protesters destroyed camera gear, a tent, event signage, flipped tables, and assaulted group staff, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, wrote on X.

“While our people were under attack, police stood aside and did nothing,” he wrote. “Our team is understandably shaken up, but they assure me they will not back down.”…

One demonstrator struck someone who approached the table with a cell phone, the school said. Other demonstrators pulled down the tent and engaged in shoving with those staffing the tent and others nearby. The protesters left the area before returning minutes later and trying to remove a tent.

Video does seem to show the attack came in two waves. First the Antifa mob, which was carrying an “ACAB” banner, approached and tried to damage property but didn’t get to the tent. Notice they are all dressed in black bloc and have their faces covered.

After they they chanted “Whose university? Our university!” while some scuffles continued.

At some point they regrouped and marched toward the tent again. A woman in a red sweatshirt who seems to be with the TPUSA group marches in front of them. They steal her sign and then punch her in the head.

The mob makes it back to the tent and this time they just plow into it and then pull everything down and run away with it. You can see two campus police officers who are standing there watching. They don’t make any effort, verbally or otherwise, to stop the mob.

All of this happened an hour before the actual event, which apparently was not disrupted.

Charlie Kirk pointed out that something similar had happened in 2023 when he spoke at UC Davis. I wrote about that here at the time.

Same mob, different day. They wear all black and cover their faces specifically to avoid consequences. Allowing them to get away with it year after year only sets a bad precedent. All of these people should be arrested and identified.
