It Never Happens, But It Is Both Good and Mandatory – HotAir

Despite all the pro-alphabet propaganda, many good and decent liberals get squeamish about efforts to sterilize and mutilate children who are experiencing the normal pains and worries associated with puberty.

That’s why the alphabet mafia and their advocates in government and the medical industry back them up when they proudly proclaim that nothing irreversible is ever done to children with gender confusion until they become adults. Talk to just about any liberal squeamish about gender ideology and they will assure you that gender transitions are not done to children before they are 18. Everything is perfectly reversible.

It’s not even remotely true. To be honest, I think these well-meaning liberals know this at some level, but the best way to avoid pangs of conscience is to deny reality. And since “experts” are willing to tell sweet little lies, these liberals can aim their ire at the people telling them the truth.

Sort of like COVID lies. They wanted to believe the “experts,” so they did and got angry at those of us warning them.

The truth is that not only are children routinely sterilized and mutilated, but in “sanctuary” states like Minnesota, California, and other Democrat-dominated regions, the state uses its power to take children away from their parents, overturn judicial rulings from neighboring states, and to finance puberty blockers, hormones, and dangerous, radical surgeries on minors.

It never happens, except that it is mandatory.

I’ve never quite understood how liberals square the circle in their minds. After all, the very same people who mutilated Jazz Jennings as a minor right there on television for the world to see turn and look into the camera and say, “this didn’t happen,” when somebody objects. The mental gymnastics it takes to hold two contradictory ideas in one’s head must be tiring.

Nevertheless, people do it. Their fealty to their tribe outweighs their concern for children

After raising concerns about his then-13-year-old son taking puberty blockers and starting on a path to irreversible, experimental, and life-long medical interventions to “transition” into a girl, the Colorado government stripped father Robert Cameron of all rights to protect his child.

Colorado was able to do that because the child’s mother and Cameron’s ex-wife, Nancy Drake, used Colorado’s “affirmation only” legal structure to wage a war against Cameron through the courts. Drake, who joined forces with an activist therapist, has been able to use government force to push the now-14-year-old boy into the transition interventions which, if pursued in full, have the power to sterilize, reduce brain development, and cause bone density issues, among a host of other gruesome effects.

Parents who get upset when a nurse at a school gives their kid ibuprofen without permission fully back the state terminating the parental rights of a dad who questions having his 14-year-old son sterilized.

Ask a single one of these people if they have read a study about the side effects of the drugs, the efficacy of the treatments, or the most basic information about what they support, and they will point to “experts” given the seal of approval by politicians or intellectuals in their tribe.

“I read in The Atlantic that it is good and necessary.” Don’t you remember that they told you that Georgia dropping the insane COVID policies was “human sacrifice?” No, they don’t, or don’t want to think about how many times their preferred sources of information lied to them about…everything.

These people believed Joe Biden was “sharp as a tack” until the moment they accepted that Kamala Harris was “brat.”

Unfortunately, as with all the COVID gaslighting that has been exposed as lies, the people whose tribal loyalty outstrips their commitment to reality will forgive and forget when the alphabet ideology is exposed as the greatest medical scandal since the Tuskegee experiments and lobotomies.

Cameron’s primary goal is to have his son be able to wait until he is 18 to make the decision, but Drake, who appears to have trigger-happy, extraordinarily litigious lawyers behind her, need the transition to start now, no questions asked — literally.

Drake, an academic in a left-wing community in Colorado with whom Cameron shares joint custody, successfully got the state of Colorado to block Cameron’s oversight over their son’s medical treatment or even speak to him about transgenderism, using suicide statistics among those confused about their gender as the primary reason why. Despite the fact that evidence shows pediatric gender transition does not reduce rates of suicide, the more curious fact is that Cameron’s son has never been suicidal. Cameron confirmed that to The Federalist, and the arbitrator admits that fact in court documents reviewed by The Federalist.

Even more, while the court stripped Cameron of his rights over his son’s treatment and allowed the medical transition of a minor, the child also expressed doubts about whether he even wanted to go through with a transition — something that, to most objective medical professionals, would have raised a red flag about going through with the interventions at all.

“They had good intentions,” we will be told.

Sorry, that’s not good enough. Not in the least.

Good intentions may be a good excuse when you make a minor mistake or misjudgment, but when debating something as deadly serious as forcing dangerous medical procedures on anyone, especially children, you better know what you are talking about. If you don’t know, then fine, you don’t know. Then don’t have an opinion either. Don’t automatically give support to people.

If you feel the need to have an opinion, then know your stuff. It’s really not that hard. Lots of people are debating the issues. There is ample information, such as the Cass Review, the policy shifts in Europe, and even alphabet propaganda like ‘I Am Jazz.” Watch that show, and you will see that many of the things you read from advocates are outright lies because they brag about doing things they deny right on camera.

Sorry, you have no excuse. You may not know, but that is a choice, not an excuse.
